Hey there !
Welcome to the Silk Press Saver Grand Opening! We're so happy you're here ! My name is Aliceson and I'm just like you a gal in love with her natural curly hair who also loves a great silk press. The problem I was having and have had for a long time.... is that once I got my hair straightened... I became frozen ! lol By that I mean I was constantly worried about sweating it out or having it revert. I don't know where you are.... but I live in Atlanta Georgia... and not only is it hot here... it's HUMID... like all the time. So what does that mean? It meant as soon as I got my hair straightened I didn't want to walk outside, I didn't want to go to the gym, ...shoot I just wanted to keep it cute !
The problem is ... that meant I really was having to choose between my health and my hair. And that is not fair !!!
So I have been trying to figure out a solution to this dilemma for me and for you ..cause I know I am not the only one.
Finally, I was able to come up with Silk Press Saver. hair serum....which when used with a 100% silk scarf ... keeps my hair and my silk press great even with the elements. Now... let me tell you.. You Have to Use a 100% Silk Scarf.... not a cotton scarf, not a linen scarf, and baby definitely not a polyester scarf! No. No No. Sorry to say those will have you looking crazy. Stick with a 100% silk scarf when you use Silk Press Saver. Check with your mama... if she has one grab hers..!! lol ..If she doesn't ...don't worry... we have some too ;)
Anyway... the way to use it is to roll it along your hairline all the way around including along the nape of your neck. I also part my hair down the center from the crown to the back of my head and roll it along there too because that is where I often sweat a lot. Next, I use either one frog clip and pull my hair up in the back or two of the claw clips and split it down the middle and pull it up in two pony tales. Finally, I use the 100% silk scarf and tie my hair up with it making sure all my hair is covered tightly and enclosed in the silk. I even sometimes use a small metal clip to close up the gap in the back.
Then I go out and do what I wanna do !
When I'm done exercising... I let my hair dry completely before taking off the silk scarf. This is one of the most important steps! I do this either by just letting it air dry... sitting in front of the fan in the summer time... or if I'm in a hurry using my blow dryer on the cool function before taking the scarf off. Once I'm sure it's dry... I slide off the silk scarf, style, and voila! My silk press is safe and yours will be too ! :)
